Your CWA Bargaining Committee met with the Piedmont Bargaining committee in November. The Union and the Company exchanged the following articles:
Article 4 Filling of Vacancies
Article 6 Hours of Service
Article 8 Overtime
Article 9 Training
Article 10 Uniforms
Article 11 Holidays
Article 12 Vacations
Article 13 Compensation
Article 17 Benefits
Article 18 Safety and Health
The Company and the Union bargained over the articles above and did come to an agreement on uniforms, which is an improvement from the current contract. This morning, American Airlines announced its third quarter financial results, reporting $271 million in pre- tax profit driven by a record third quarter revenue of $13.6 billion. Piedmont came to the bargaining table with an offer of a 16 cent wage increase above their last offer. We need to show Piedmont that we need safe work rules, decent health care, and a livable wage.
