Courtney Edwards, a loving daughter and mother of three children, was fatally injured on December 31, 2022, at Montgomery Regional Airport in Alabama. Courtney was a ground handling agent for Piedmont Airlines. Her loss has profoundly affected her family, friends, and fellow members of CWA Local 3645.
Kendrick Darrell Hudson, also a member of Local 3645 who worked for Piedmont Airlines, died on Sunday, August 11, 2019, after an accident at Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina. Kendrick was a skilled baggage “tug” operator and only 24 years old when he lost his life. He is still deeply missed by his father, mother, friends, and coworkers.
Our hearts go out to all those who knew and loved Courtney and Kendrick. They represented the very best of our union family. We can all honor those who have passed and those who have been injured or become ill doing their jobs by continuing to organize for safer working conditions and protections that stop these senseless tragedies from happening in the future.
